Hello Dear Friends,

Sometimes I am amazed at the amount of anger that some folks show when they spring to defend some modern trend or nascent behavior of the day. It is also amazing that even though arguments for bad behavior are often very silly and contrived it never seems to get any wiser. If people hear each other parroting the commonly accepted excuses of the day; it is usually enough to reinforce their belief in their error.

Such is the case when they speak of abortion, gay pursuits open ended sexual habits and just about everything else that the moral climate of the day allows. I often think that the morally challenged are stuck behind a giant wall that they cannot scale and thereby find their way over and out into the light of day. This generation is quite different. They have erected the wall and are quite satisfied to hide behind it and let it shield them from the light.

How easy it is to understand why John said, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (John 1: 5) It is proof that we are well advanced in the end times because Paul said that in the last days they will consciously choose not to see the light and it will leave an entire generation in a state of total reprobation. (Romans 1: 28)

Another great source of amazement to me is the reactions of some people to a truth or declaration of error that they would make on their own in a public fashion if they had a more public platform in which to express themselves.

In the emails and the comments made to some of my articles I see that many people today are quite fed up with the excuses leaders and followers make to bolster and undergird a seething and rotten wall of our worst behavior, by shielding it with academic assertions, re-defined law or new laws that twist the founding principles of our nation or the very word of the Living God.

I see by the reactions that not everyone is bamboozled so easily by the liberal, leftist, evil that seems so pervasive in our nation today. Not only do they see what is wrong but many can use scripture, constitution and common sense to refute and destroy the wisdom of the wise. (So called)

I find myself thankful for those who show this kind of savvy and deep conviction and I am pleased to say that many of the friends and readers of the American Prophet website are such people. I’m glad I have come to know some of them and to hear their views and the stand they take.

This website is dedicated to warning and preparation. The world is warned and the believers must be prepared. The changes in our world are ignored by a largely slumbering church but the days are shortening for the fulfillment of all the last days’ events. Those who see this also need to be reminded of the final outcome of all these inevitable changes.

For us it is more than turbulence, judgments and the cutting off of the evil day; it is what follows that we long for. The Apostle Paul said, “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” (Heb 1: 8, 9)

Paul was speaking of Christ in this passage but because we have the mind of Christ, (Php 2: 5) we also are looking for a day when this old world will be ruled with the “Sceptre of Righteousness.”

We want to see the day when any commandment, edict law, ruling, norm or instruction will originate in the mind and heart of one whose motives are pure, God inspired (originated) and full of love.

Nothing from the throne of Christ will be motivated by greed, selfish interest or error; it is a Scepter of Righteousness, it is what we all long for. (yes, I am repeating myself.)
